List

I just came across this little jewel of a JavaScript file that makes list and library column headers sticky.

Requirements:

  • stickyHeaders_v2.8.js – Download it from here.
  • jQuery – Download it from here.
  1. Read about the creation of this lovely piece of code and download it here.
  2. Click on “Site Content” on left side of home page, then click on “Site Assets”
  3. Upload “StickyHeaders_v2.8.js” & “jquery-1.11.1.min.js”
  4. Browse to the list or library where you would like to have sticky headers
  5. Click the “gear” (settings) icon in the upper right
  6. Click “Edit Page”
  7. Click “Add a Web Part” button on the page
  8. Click “Media and Content” then select “Script Editor” and click “Add”
  9. Click  “Edit Snippet” on the right of the Script Editor Web Part
    1. Insert this text:
      <script src=”/SiteAssets/jquery-1.11.1.min.js”></script>
      <script /SiteAssets/StickyHeaders_v2.8.js”></script>
  10. Click “Stop Editing” on the Page tab.
  11. Enjoy!
